Hike down steep paths to this hippie paradise with crystal waters and no mass tourism. Relax for 2 days in nature's embrace.
Most travelers never make it down to this bay because the path is pretty steep and a bit of a workout but thats exactly what keeps it so peaceful. Kabak sits hidden between high pine covered hills and the turquoise Mediterranean sea creating this perfect little world that feels miles away from everything else.
Day one starts with the hike down. You leave your things at one of the simple eco lodges near the top and begin the descent through the forest. The trail winds sharply between trees and after about 30 or 40 minutes you suddenly see the bay open up below you. The water is so clear it almost looks unreal. When you finally reach the sand you feel that nice tired but happy feeling in your legs. The beach is long enough to give everyone space and the only sounds are waves and occasional laughter from small groups of people who also found their way here. You spend the afternoon swimming in the calm water or just lying under the trees reading or doing nothing at all. In the evening the beach restaurants light up with simple lanterns and you eat fresh fish or vegetarian plates while the stars come out above the hills.
The second day you wake up whenever you want because there is no rush here. Maybe you do another swim right after breakfast or take a short walk along the edge of the bay where small waterfalls trickle down the rocks after rain. Some people set up hammocks between the trees and spend the whole day gently swinging with the sea breeze. If you feel like moving a little you can follow the path further along the coast to even quieter corners of the bay. The water stays crystal clear all day and you can see every pebble on the bottom. Late in the afternoon you slowly hike back up the same steep path but this time it feels easier because your mind is already so calm. At the top you sit for a while looking down at the bay one last time before leaving.
These two days in Kabak are simple but they really recharge you. No loud parties no umbrellas lined up in rows just nature pure and quiet. The place has kept its hippie soul with basic wooden bungalows yoga sessions under the trees and people who smile easily. You leave with salty skin a few new mosquito bites and the strong feeling that youve been somewhere special that most tourists will never experience. If you need a break from crowded beaches and want to feel nature holding you for a couple of days Kabak is exactly that kind of hidden gem.
